Christine's dedication and passion for helping children with special needs in the areas of speech and language deficits, along with her awareness of the underservice these groups face in her community and neighboring areas, inspired her to establish her own Women-Owned Minority Business (M/WBE), New York Speech and Swallow (NYSAS). Christine’s aim is to provide compassionate and caring speech-language services to individuals in need, aiming to level the playing field for children with speech and language deficits, enabling them to achieve success alongside their peers.
Christine is a licensed speech language pathologist with a distinguished Master of Science degree from New York University. Certified in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, she has over a decade of experience in diverse settings, including universities, hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes, and personalized home visits. As an ASHA member, Christine also serves as an Adjunct Professor, and as a Clinical Supervisor at both NYU and Pace, teaching a diagnostic SLP course, assessment and intervention in multilingual learners. Christine acquired her bilingual extension from Columbia University and has previously fulfilled the role of a Clinical Supervisor at the same institution. Furthermore, Christine has instructed undergraduates at NYU in courses covering the fundamentals of speech and language disorders in children, as well as ethics in speech language pathology.
